You know how some people go a little overboard stringing up Christmas lights around the holidays? Crazy, even? Well, the same is true for Halloween—only it involves bloody body parts, lots of cobwebs, and a whole lotta zombies.
To celebrate the upcoming holiday, we scoured Flickr, Instagram, YouTube, and other dark, dank corners of the Internet to see just how freaky homeowners’ Halloween decorations could get. Sometimes, we were deeply impressed—like with the many-eyed, sharp-toothed “monster house” above created by artist Christine McConnell. A few other homes screamed Las Vegas Strip, while still other Allhallows Eve–inspired places made us feel like calling in the NSA and local law enforcement teams. So read on if you dare.
